Do You Know ‘Hanbok?’

Hanbok is Korea’s traditional clothes. They are very beautiful and elegant, but it is kind of too much to wear it on the street. This is why people thought ‘Why don’t we design Hanbok that you can wear for a daily look?’

hanbokThis is the original Hanbok Koreans wore back then.

Here are some DAILY HANBOK:

I love these sooooo much! One of the things in my bucket list is to wear one of these and walk around Korea! Personally, my favorite from here is the white speckled top and the blue skirt. I think designing modern Hanbok was such a good idea because we (Koreans) can show the beauty of our traditional clothes on the street everyday ❤ I’m definitely going to buy one of these someday. I hope you enjoyed all the Hanbok and byeeeee

Believe It OR Not

WARNING: This story might be a little bit gross for you.

Mike the Headless Chicken

mike-the-headless-chicken1
In the year of 1945, a farmer decided to eat chicken for his supper. He went out to his yard and chose a 5 year-old chicken named Mike. When he cut its head with an axe, the axe missed its brain stem, so it was still alive. Mike still tried to walk around, peck for food, and even crow. The farmer decided to take care of it permanently because of course, these things don’t happen everyday! He fed Mike small grains of corn and drops of milk with an eyedropper. This headless chicken gained fame and traveled with its owner and earned thousands of dollars. Mike was even in the ‘Times’ and ‘Life’ magazines! Unfortunately, in 1947, this chicken died by choking on a piece of corn. In the memory of Mike, they have an annual ‘Mike the Headless Chicken Day’ in Colorado.

There are so many crazy things going on around the world! What is the craziest thing that you’ve heard? Thanks for reading and byeeee 😀

Cut Bangs At HOME!!

Those of you who want to cut your bangs, but you’re too scared to go to the salon because they might cut it too short, I totally understand you! Might as well cut my bangs at home by myself, right? The question is, how?

bad bangs

I’m going to tell you the steps to cut your bangs at home! You can trust me on this because I always use this way to cut my bangs.

The materials you need are: Sharp scissors, Mirror, Trash can (Simple as that!)

TIP: Make sure your hair is DRY!!! If you cut it when it’s wet, and later on dry it, you’ll see that it becomes way shorter.

1. a) LONG bangs: If you have long bangs, gather the amount of hair you want to cut, and hold it. Remember that your bangs have to be a triangular shape.

Untitled

b) SHORT bangs: If you have bangs, but it grew out, gather the bangs you have and hold it.

2. Hold the hair with one hand so that your thumb is on one side and other fingers on the other. Like this:

Untitled

3. If you look up, you’ll see your thumb. Your thumb has a kind of round shape (of course).

4. Here you can choose either to cut a side bang or a straight bang.

5. a) STRAIGHT bang: Pull on your hair (not too tightly) so that your thumb is aligned with the bottom of your eyes. cut your hair around your thumb. Remember to not cut straight ahead!

cut bangs*What you will see when you cut your hair (NOT from mirror)

b) Side bang: Pull on your hair (not too tightly) so that your thumb touches the tip of your nose. Again, cut your hair AROUND your thumb.

6. Let go of your hair and just let it sit on your head. Now, you need the mirror. You’ll see that your bang has an arch like this:

straight_side

7. If there are uneven hair pieces, just cut them. Organize your hair to the perfect shape you want.

8. a) STRAIGHT bangs: You are done!

b) SIDE bangs: Sweep your hair to the side and you’re done!

I know, the first time you try, you’ll need lots of courage, but if you do it the right way your hair will turn out great! Thanks for reading this post :)! I hope your bangs look fantastic and byeeee!

DIY Simple Ear Cuffs

Who here wants to wear an earring but didn’t pierce their ears? Here is a great solution! An ear cuff is an earring that just slides into the cartilage (the soft bone thing on the outer edge of ear) of your ear. 🙂 I’m going to tell you how to make a simple ear cuff at home. Since I don’t have a camera right now, I will show you how to make it by drawings.

ear cuff 2

Materials you need: Wire (not too thin), Wire cutters (if you don’t have one, anything that can cut the wire you have will do), Nose pliers (if you don’t have one, you can use your hands, but I warn you: IT WILL HURT A LOT), Ruler, Pen

1. First, cut your wire into about 3 inches.

2. Then, measure it to 1 inch and bend it.

1 inch

3. Again, bend the other long end the same way.

1 inch

4. Curl the ends of both side to the middle so that they make spiral shapes.

1 inch

5. Now, wrap the round sides (not spiral curls) around a pen and curl it so that it makes a ‘U’ shape.

6. Finally, you can slide the ear cuff in your ear so that the round sides wrap your ear, and pinch the round sides so that it tightens on your ear. 🙂

You can even make the spiral shapes into various shapes such as a ribbon. I guarantee that this works because I tried it with my friends. Here’s a tip: thicker wires make prettier ear cuffs. These ear cuffs are a fun way to style your ears without piercing them! Sorry if my drawing is not perfect. 😦 I hope you get how to make it…..and byeeee! ❤

Don’t Judge Others

Hello everyone.

Today I’m going to share you a little story that I read from somewhere. Here it goes:

A 24-year-old man was in a train with his dad. He looked out the window and shouted to his dad,

“Look dad! The trees are running away from us!”

There was a couple who sat near them who looked at the 24-year-old man’s a childish behavior with pity in their eyes. The man shouted again,

“Dad, dad look at that! The clouds are coming after us!”

The couple then said to the dad,

“Why don’t you take your son to a doctor?”

The man answered them by saying,

“We’re just coming back from a doctor. He’s been blind since birth and is seeing for the first time today.”

blindfolded-man

Don’t judge others just by what you can see by them. You can never know their real story until you know them better. The chubby girl you called fat today? She has eating disorder. The boy with a dirty and ragged shirt you teased today? His family can barely feed themselves and he works for hours after school for them. Please don’t judge others. I know that you are nicer than that 🙂

Thanks for reading and byeeeee ❤

Apps/Website Recommendations <3

Hi guys~

Here are some suggestions for apps or websites that you might find interesting!

1) 8tracks

8 tracks

If you like to listen to music, but you don’t know where to find some, this is a great one for you! This is an internet radio kind of thing where people make playlists and share them. I love this website because you can find music by tags. You can type in several tags to find the perfect playlist that you want to hear. For example, if you want to listen to music while studying, you can type something like ‘study + calm+ relax.’ If you want to forget about everything and whip out a dance with your friends, you can type ‘dance+ happy+ crazy.’ There are so many different combinations of tags you can type in to find the playlist of your taste. It is also on android stores and I think apple stores, too. You can even set a timer so that the song turns off by itself at that time (very helpful when you want to sleep while listening to music).

2) Photo Wonder

photowonder

I recommend this to people who love to take pictures and selfies. This is a photoshopping app that you can do pretty much EVERYTHING to your photos. You can add stickers, beautify your face, add filters, add a frame, and more. It is on android stores and also apple stores.

3) Retrica

retrica

Okay, this app is AMAZING! It has so many filters that can make your pictures look really good. It’s basically like taking professional pictures with your phone. I use this almost every time I take pictures with my phone. I like it because it makes an ordinary picture look cheerful, gloomy, or even mysterious only by its filters.

4) Kakaotalk

kakaotalk

Many of you might know this app already, but I’ll add it here because it is so helpful. This app is basically like a Korean version of ‘Whatsapp’ or ‘Line.’ It is an app where you can message or call your friends on your Kakaotalk contact list for free. This is a lot of help if you want to contact a friend or a family member who lives in another country. If they also have Kakaotalk, you can call them for free as long as your phone is connected to the internet. (There is also a PC version of it.)

5) Weheartit

We_Heart_It_Logo

This is an app/website which is kind of like Tumblr (maybe not). People share pictures that you can ‘heart.’ There are all kinds of photos that you can get inspired from. I got inspired by so many photos from here. I use this app when I am bored and need inspiration to do something. Sometimes, I use it to find pictures that I want for a profile picture.

I love sharing things that I find useful and interesting with you guys <3. I hope you found this blog interesting and byeeeee

Little Changes That Would Make Your Life Happy

Hello guys~

I’m here to tell you some advice I heard from somewhere (I forgot where) that made me think a lot and made changes to my life. I know it’s a bit long, but it will be worth it.

First of all, I’m going to talk about ‘hate.’ Everyone has someone who they don’t like or even hate; it’s just that they don’t want to admit it! Here is one advice: “Hating is like holding a hot stone. Drop it if you don’t want to hurt yourself.” This is really true. The only thing that happens if you hate someone is that your mind will be filled with negative thoughts. You’re only hurting yourself. Hating someone will just ruin everyday of your happy life. Yes, I know that it’s very hard, but if you throw away the hatred little by little, it will soon be gone. Don’t hurt yourself! :/

I bet you’re asking ‘What do I do after I throw away the hatred?(or not)’ Well, here is the next advice for you: “Life is too short to waste it on hating people. Surround yourself with people who make you happy.” If you have someone you hate, don’t waste your time planning plans to make them unhappy or something. Move your body and mind and spend your time with people you love. You’ll feel soooooo much better <3! I mean, if you had to choose between living your whole life hating someone vs loving someone, you’ll definitely choose the second door.

The last advice I’m going to tell you is not about hating someone, but it would definitely make your life super exciting. Here is the advice: “Your life gets happier the more you say ‘yes’ to things.” I had so many chances that I rejected which I’m regretting very much. For example, I had a chance to go out to eat dinner with my friends. In that moment, I was kind of lazy to move (I know that everyone has those moments! Stop snickering in front of your screens!!!) so I said ‘no’ to it. The next day, the only thing my friends talked about was the dinner! It seemed like they had so much fun playing games and such. I regretted so much for not going. After some time, I read this quote and tried applying it to my life. I think that was the best decision I’ve ever made. My once boring, nothing-to-do life became an exciting and happy life! The next thing I knew after I applied this to my life, I dived off a 10m cliff! I don’t think my old self would’ve even dared to do that. 😀 Start saying ‘yes’ to more things. I promise you; it will be fun 😉

If you want to live an exciting and meaningful life, apply these small things to your life. My thought is that you shouldn’t start with too big things because you’ll be too overwhelmed. Live a happy life for yourself. You’re worth more than living a boring life with the same cycle everyday. You deserve better 🙂

Thank you so much for reading such a long blog. I hope this made you think about living a happier life and byeeeee
